The main fuel tank is resting in place. They placed it in the boat to verify it fit and also to see where the aux tanks need to go. The tank has been pressure tested to 2 lbs and it held the pressure overnight. The tank will be removed and all the fittings permanently attached before final installation.Phil is measuring …
Continuation of Yesterday……
The generator arrived, a Northern Lights 12KW unit. At the right is the power take-off cover. We ordered this option because of the BAT drive that we are installing. We may also cross plumb the BAT drive hydraulic system to the main hydraulics as a backup in case of failure. Here is a shot later in the day with the …
Details…..Details…..
There seem to be a lot of details that are getting attended to. The plumbing under the forward lower deck is complete so now Dave and Phil can position the deck so that Greg can bond it in place. The Lifeline batteries are in their position in the Lazarette. There are 4 for the house bank, 2 for the inverter …
FUBAR Plus
Some months ago my friend Bruce Kessler (Spirit of Zopilote) asked me if I would put up a sign in our booth at Trawlerfest in Solomons, MD. Always willing to help a friend, I said: “Sure”. The sign was the first public information about the upcoming FUBAR Odyssey (see sidebar for link to their website). The FUBAR Odyssey is to …
A NEW SHOE
The progress is steady but most of the progress in the past week were time consuming, not very visible steps toward completion. The biggest and most difficult mold to manufacture is the superstructure mold. I am thrilled that it will completed by the end of the week. The part will take a couple of weeks to pull, but then we …
A Beehive of Activity

These are all pre assembled out of the boat to make the installation process more efficient. After this discussion, it was decided to change to a better plumbing material. …
The new building that we moved the hull to is only going to be used for hull #1. It has been difficult playing “musical buildings” for the last several months but space large enough and tall enough to build yachts is a bit scarce these days. With 12 (plus or minus) boat builders in Skagit county, a lot of the …
Arise…go forth…and conquer….
It has been a few days since I added to this blog, but things have been progressing. As you can see from the picture to the left, the hull is now completely out of the mold and is being prepared for moving to the building where it will be completed. The building where the hull was laid up is not …
