Northwest 48 and Northwest 51
Built for owners who cruise for weeks at a time, not just weekends, the Northwest 48 and 51 are pilothouse trawlers designed to cover real distance in comfort. Their semi-displacement hulls cruise efficiently at 8–10 knots on twin Cummins diesels, with more speed on hand when weather or schedule calls for it. Wesmar stabilizers, Zipwake trim control and 1,000 gallons of fuel come standard on both.
The two boats share the same tooling and the same uncompromising standard of construction. The Northwest 51 is a 3-foot extension of the 48, adding length at the waterline and room aboard.
Every Northwest is designed to be quiet, safe and easy for a couple to handle: handholds within arm’s reach, raised door sills, a walk-in engine room and controls at both helms. Every boat is built to order.
Two layouts
The standard layout has two staterooms and two heads, with a forward master stateroom and a VIP stateroom for family and guests.
The Owner’s Edition, available on both the 48 and the 51, is for couples who would rather have more space than a guest cabin. It has a single master stateroom with a king berth, a larger master head, and a day head with laundry.
